Kettle Hill Stage 4 extension approved

Marridale Resources today welcomed the approval of the Stage 4 extension at Kettle Hill, securing operations to 2041 within the existing approved disturbance footprint.

The decision follows an eighteen-month assessment and public consultation across six regional centres. Conditions attached to the approval cover dust management, groundwater drawdown limits and the timing of progressive rehabilitation on the northern emplacement.

“Kettle Hill has been part of this district for nearly thirty years,” said Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Byron Lee-Edwards. “The extension means another sixteen years of steady work for 410 people, and a longer runway to complete rehabilitation properly rather than quickly.”

Marridale will report against the new conditions in its quarterly operational reviews.
