Statement on the Ferrier Creek water quality notice

27 March 2026 · Ferrier Creek

Marridale has received a notice regarding turbidity readings downstream of the operation and is cooperating fully.

Marridale Resources confirms it has received a notice from the catchment authority regarding turbidity readings recorded downstream of the Ferrier Creek operation in March.

The readings followed an extended period of heavy rainfall across the district. Marridale’s own monitoring recorded elevated readings at two of five points over the same period. All readings have since returned to within the range specified in our licence.

The company has voluntarily increased sampling frequency at points three and four, and has offered the authority access to its continuous monitoring data. No change to operations has been required.

Marridale takes its water obligations seriously and will continue to work constructively with the authority and with landholders in the district. Enquiries may be directed to our corporate affairs team.
